My Life. In Pictures. Day 3

Hello again, everyone! Tuesday was another great day of photos! We had a few more people who joined in- so be sure to welcome them to our challenge.
The Top Shot of the Day goes to...Naomi at Delhi Bound. Okay, this was WAY hard for me to pick my favorite! I narrowed it down to 5 shots I really liked and have to have hubby come down to help pick one!

For those of you who are subscribe on google reader, you got a sneak preview of my photo for day #3. The publish button on blogger got pushed a little early and I was only half done writing the post, as well as it was several hours too early!!!

Today's challenge was The View From Your Front Door. We do not have a good view. Some days however, it does look better than others. My photo was not one of those days. Some days there are bright blue skies and lots going on to look at. You can see the football field and hear the announcer during the Friday night varsity games. You can see the roof of the beautiful amphetheater at our park in town where they have live music and more all summer. Many times the music from there even carries over to our house.

The skies were gray and cloudy. There are not any leaves on the trees yet. The grass is greener in this picture because I edited it to be that way. We also look down on the back of the (fairly new and nice) YMCA and it's parking lot. These are a few reasons it is not a good view.

One thing I do enjoy though is looking out at all of the goings on outside. The street is busy and people we know are always driving by and honking, waving, and/ or stopping to chat when we are playing outside. We are straight down the street from one of the schools and we get several busses that go by. The kids love to watch them come past. Kids go sledding on the hill that goes into the parking lot of the Y, and we watch them during the winter. The Y parking lot is hoppin' with families on Saturdays with kids on their way to a practice of some sort. The school shuttle bus picks up and drops off school kids to the kid care at the Y and I watch the little ones file in and out in a line. There is a boy about 5th grade age who plays roller hockey on a basketball court just to the left of where my picture cuts off. There is some apartments there and he plays out there almost every day, usually by himself. The sun reflects off of a certain spot on his roller blades as he skates around the court and you see a flash of light every now and again.

So here it is... my not so pretty view- just lots to see...
Please be sure to sign Mr. Linky and check out the view that others have! Tomorrow is Something You Do Each Day!

  5. Looks like you get to see quite a bit going on from your front door! Our view never really changes except for the occasional car going by and the birds coming to the feeder.
